Photo Sessions now over

Photo sessions now over. Thank you for your enthusiasm so early in the morning.
 
We had some rain and we had to cancel Sunday afternoon and Monday morning.

Friday Dog Day Morning! Quiet morning for McGrath Charity event.

A quiet morning today. Lots of chatting to doggie people, some have to get their special collars out and others to bath the pooches. All of them arriving will mean a big day on Saturday. Please come early. We start at 7.30am when the suns up.

We have been asked if we are going to other doggie beaches and parks. Yes we are!

Friday at St Kilda:
Where; Behind Catani Gardens on the beach with the yachts behind
When; Today at 5.00pm till 6pm

Saturday at Gasworks Albert Park: 
When; 9.30am till 10.30
And at sunset time 5.00pm till 6.00pm

Look out for the A Frame and the pink caps! Last weekend.

Dog Day Morning! Thursday: Absolutely beautiful photo lighting

This was the best lighting so far! Some people are thinking about a photo on the weekend so do a bit of planning and come over to Port Melbourne, enjoy the beach and a coffee afterwards!
With the weather forecast being a good this weekend best to act and get involved while the weather holds. Only a few days left.

Wednesday Dog Day Morning! : Great enthusiasm today!

Today was a nicer day, less wind. At 7.30 the light is definitely better for the photos.  Today we seemed to have a more hyper crowd of pooches along. We also had our tallest and smallest so far. A fun day with a lot of friends of friends coming along. Great comaraderie. I am just setting up a Facebook option.

7.00am First day of the McGrath charity event! The days are getting shorter now but add a stormy day and we could not start photography until 7.30am when the light improved. But true to form the doggy owners were out regardless of the weather.



One great thing about the k9 fraternity is their chatty nature.

Dog Day Morning Project the Fine Print & FAQ's

This is a community project by Port melbourne Photography to support the McGrath Foundation.
It is not designed to make a profit for Port Melbourne Photography.
(Our normal studio portait prices start at $175.00.) I believe in this project as part of our community outreach. All my labour is not charged, it is given probono. Only the material costs and production labour are charged to the project.

Where: We will be photographing your family pet down at the approved

Doggy beach between Lagoon pier and Port Melbourne Sailing Club
Times:6.30am till 8.30am
Tues 23 to 30th March.
We cannot guarantee shooting everyday. We reserve the right to cancel a morning if the weather or the lighting is not suitable for photography.
These images are for sale at a nominal amount starting at 5x7" $12.00

plus shipping.
Larger sizes are available: 10x8" $22.00 and 11x14" $32.00.
Shipping and handling is $4 per order.
The net profits from all sales goes to the McGrath Foundation.
All ordering is done on-line: After the photography of your pet you may

view online to select and pay for your images.
These are online within five working days.
These are printed and mailed out within three weeks from close of project.
Images are not available on CD.
There is no obligation to purchase.
Other donations can also be made during the event period. All orders and donations need to completed by the 14th April 2010.
By partaking in this project you would be expected to sign our studio's normal terms and conditions that includes that copyright is with John Lamb.
As a separate personal project John will then work on selected images to make them into fine art portraits and have a charity exhibition and auction later in the year. You may want to be part of this project as well. We will keep in touch with you by email.
There is only one week of photography for this charity drive. We want this to work really well.

Its official, we are doing a community project for McGrath Foundation.

 

We need you to bring your dog along to be photographed and by your donation you will you'll be helping the the McGrath Foundation and all its good works.

We will be photographing your family pet down at the approved doggy beach between Lagoon pier and Port Melbourne Sailing Club 6.30am till 8.30am from the Tues 23 to 30th March. Look out for the A frame and I will be in a Pink T shirt.

The way this works is we photograph your pooch on the beach or the dunes using professional techniques. These images are for sale at a nominal amount starting from $12.00 with the profits going to the McGrath foundation.


As a personal project John will then work on these images to make them into fine art portraits and have a charity exhibition and auction later in the year.
